What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They are used to remember information about your visit — for example, your cookie preferences themselves — and to help us understand how the site is used.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. They do not collect any personally identifiable information.
| Name | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
cb_consent | Stores your cookie consent preferences (saved to localStorage, not a cookie) | 13 months |
| Cloudflare security cookies | DDoS protection and bot mitigation — set by Cloudflare, not Credibrate | Session |
Analytics (optional)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are visited, where visitors come from, and how long they stay. This helps us improve the site. We also use Plausible Analytics, which is cookieless and collects no personal data.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes unique users | 2 years | |
_ga_* | Maintains session state | 2 years |
Advertising (optional)
We display ads from Google AdSense and, once approved, Mediavine. These networks may set cookies to serve ads relevant to your interests and to measure ad performance. If you reject advertising cookies, ads may still appear but will not be personalised.
| Provider | Purpose | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdSense | Ad personalisation and frequency capping | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Mediavine | Programmatic ad serving (pending approval) | mediavine.com/privacy-policy |
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
- We do not use cookies to track you across other websites.
- Calculator inputs are processed entirely in your browser and are never sent to our servers.
How to control cookies
Use the preference panel at the top of this page to accept or reject optional cookies at any time. You can also control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect site functionality.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when we add new services or change how we use cookies. The “last updated” date above indicates when the most recent changes were made.
