How Credibrate works
Credibrate is a free calculator platform for UK consumers. Every tool runs entirely in your browser — your financial data is never sent to a server or stored anywhere. Calculations use current HMRC rates, Bank of England data, DVLA VED bands, and published legislative thresholds.
Each calculator includes a methodology section explaining the underlying calculation, a worked example, and answers to common questions. Where rules differ between England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, jurisdiction-specific calculators are provided.
Calculations are reviewed and updated as rates change — typically each April for the new tax year, and as needed when policy changes are announced.
